These are things I made for fun, to try new things, but mostly because they had something to do with my plans to conquer the world.

Game Jams

I love these! I mostly visit Global Game Jam. You can check out the games I worked on here.

Rotator

I totally intend to finish this one day. I made this as a surprise for a friend, and it came out pretty well!

Virtual D

I made this turn-based local-multiplayer game so we could out-drink each other even while not at the bar. It was the result of a bet with a friend of mine who is a writer: I make a game, and he writes a sci-fi short story. Neither of them were completed.

Space Shooters

Started as a collaborative side-project between old colleagues, I created three space simulator prototypes – adventure, exploration and combat. While their graphics are pretty similar (placeholder stuff), they had totally different atmospheres. Even though we never finished it, it was a fun experiment.

T3

This was a quick demo I made for Android. It uses a custom texture as a heightmap and you can roam around in a car with more-or-less accurate physics. These shots are from a flat terrain, I was testing a custom hex-grid-based LOD/occlusion method for vegetation and detail objects.

Ticketeer

A simple funny game I made for a coworker. I’m the protagonist; he assigns me tickets that I have to fix. He totally appreciated the joke :)

Unreal Map Importer

Not all of my work is game prototypes. This is a script that imports Unreal ‘98 levels into Unity. A fun exercise in editor scripting, reverse engineering a file format and digging up 15-20 year old stuff from the internet.

Worldwalkers

An old dream of mine is to create an oldschool, turn-based RPG with a first-person camera and tile based movement. This is an early prototype and exploration of the genre. It includes a day and night cycle.

Dubstep Wolf

This game was the result of a small “game jam”: me and two friends locked ourselves up and made this in a single weekend. It a platformer where you try to go down the sides of a tower.
